Two new faves from a recent session. I'm loving what I'm seeing from this family. Watch for more ('cause mom and dad definitely have more- 4 boys in addition to these gorgeous girls)! Don't be fooled by the sun. It was a very COLD morning!
The only blues I get from this family are their eyes! I could go on and on about this family, but I'm pretty sure Mama knows how much fun I have with them. They just know how to relax and have fun, which makes my job so much more enjoyable. Besides, have you ever seen an entire family with eyes like this!?!
I like to call this one "PROGRESSION OF A TRUE CHEESER"
That's the phrase that comes to mind when I think of this family. They were so fun to work with! They are patient, kind, and just full of life and love. Thanks for such a fun session!
I know, I still need to post the rest of Mr. Root Beer's family. Fear not, that gallery is done and they have long since received their order. I'm just behind on the blog. I will get to that, but HAD to post these pictures in the meantime. I partied with this teen's family yesterday. Seriously, do you remember looking like this as a sophomore in HS? What!?!
While loading the images from a family session I had this evening, I came across this shot of big "D". I couldn't wait to get it up, he's just so cute! Don't you just love his root beer eyes? Stay tuned for the rest of his gorgeous family.
Well, the last of it at least. There are some families that are just so relaxed about having pictures taken and so willing to just "be" that it makes time fly and creates quite a problem for the photographer. A good problem. A too many fantastically wonderful images problem. Here's one of my "problems". I photographed Mr. and Mrs. L and the little C's last fall and was so excited to get them in front of my camera again. I love their style and the obvious love that abounds. Here's a little peek at what I'm sure will be a huge gallery!
Well, things have been crazy busy. I'm excited to see some repeat families in the upcoming weeks as well as some new ones. I'm always on the hunt for more newborns, so if you know any expectant mamas... I have couple of competitions coming up as well as a possible postcard deal. This could prove to be a very lucrative vaca! So, here's what I've been up to, a little vaca, a couple sessions (including an older one that didn't get posted), and all of the landscape images may be purchased as fine art prints. Just contact me if you're interested! *WARNING-PICTURE BOMB*
I even got to spend some time with my awesome little sis, who flew out from ID to vaca with us.
I love working with people of all ages. Every age group is different and equally wonderful. There's nothing like the curl of a newborn baby, the mischievous smile of a toddler, a teenager preparing to take on the world, or the warmth and love of a family. I am an on site photographer. Just name your favorite spot and I'll be there. I prefer to use only natural lighting to capture a natural you. Life is not posed, so you won't find me pinning anyone to one spot. I have been known to lay in the grass, play 'peek-a-boo', make silly faces, hide behind a tree, or even climb one. Whatever it takes to make you or your little one comfy and feel at ease. For me, it's all about freezing a moment in time.

My passion for photography grew the moment my daughter's first birthday pictures came back blurry thanks to an old point and shoot camera. I was no longer satisfied with just "snapping a pic". I wanted to capture a moment in time. All my memories would no longer be blurry unless I said so! So I bought my first SLR, began my education, and the rest is history.
