This family is loads of fun. I'm glad I was able to get their pictures done before the weather turned nasty. I must say, these first images are two that I'm very proud of. Tough Nut was very hard to crack, but thanks to stories of my own bro, we got it done!
I've been photographing these brothers since Mr. Charlie was just a gummy smiling baby in a basket! Big brother Henry is in kindergarten this year! They grow up so fast and I love seeing them every year. We had so much fun and at a new location, too. I loved it so much I even used it for my family pics this year. Love this family!!
That is what this family will forever been know as in my book, the smiley bunch. Their session was full of so many smiles and a good amount of laughter. Even when Mr. Grady took a header into some rocks just being a boy along the trail before my camera even came out to play, laughter ensued with a shrug and an "He wouldn't be him if he didn't have some sort of mark on his face!". What better way to spend a gorgeous fall morning than trail walking/running with some crazy fun people?
The beautiful autumn light during this maternity session gives new meaning to the term "pregnancy glow"! This mama and papa are so excited for their little man to arrive. He sure is a lucky boy to be coming to such a loving home. The calm excitement surrounding these first time parents is so wonderful!
It's been a couple of years since 1/3 of this extended family graced the other side of my lens. Lucky for me, they brought the whole gang this time. We played in the leaves and stomped around the local nature reserve for a fun fall afternoon.
My little Kenners (because she's my first swaddle to toddle baby and therefore, will always be my Kenley) finally made it in for her 1 year pics. Schedules are crazy, but it was so worth the wait! We even got a family session in at the same time. I can't believe how much she's grown! I envy those curls and big blues. Love this family!
I love being asked to do extended family sessions. The effort and time that goes into coordinating it all for those in the pics shows such dedication and love of family. I also love a cute bunch and I do believe I got one here, if I do say so myself!
I love working with people of all ages. Every age group is different and equally wonderful. There's nothing like the curl of a newborn baby, the mischievous smile of a toddler, a teenager preparing to take on the world, or the warmth and love of a family. I am an on site photographer. Just name your favorite spot and I'll be there. I prefer to use only natural lighting to capture a natural you. Life is not posed, so you won't find me pinning anyone to one spot. I have been known to lay in the grass, play 'peek-a-boo', make silly faces, hide behind a tree, or even climb one. Whatever it takes to make you or your little one comfy and feel at ease. For me, it's all about freezing a moment in time.

My passion for photography grew the moment my daughter's first birthday pictures came back blurry thanks to an old point and shoot camera. I was no longer satisfied with just "snapping a pic". I wanted to capture a moment in time. All my memories would no longer be blurry unless I said so! So I bought my first SLR, began my education, and the rest is history.
